We all know about the wars and the history during the Dark Ages to the Amercin Civil War but have ever wondered about people beliefs and struggles that they had to go through. Did you ever think about how they lived and the many trials that have not been written or taught in schools history class. Here are some of the dark subjects of history.

  • Pirates & Trials
  • Witch Trials
  • Slavery

Pirates and their Trials:
Pirates sailed through out the waters to steal from traders and enemies of their country. Some were thought of as heros to their people and criminals to their enemies. Most started as privateers, trademen or sailors who later became pirate which allowed to seek more income then what they recieved in the past.

Witch Trials:
The Witch Trials didn't just happen or start in Salem MA. The fear and idea of witches or witch craft started since the middle ages. Here are some websites that will help you understand the trials and the beliefs of the Witch Trials.

Slavery:
The most known slavery that occurs was within the Americas towards the African people. Most don't realize that other groups of people besides Africans were trade or sold to slavery. The Egyptians had slaves who helped them in their everyday life while the spainards captured native people in the amercias to bring back to Spain. There are still forms of slavery today which needs to end.

Instrument Info:
While becoming interested in the general history of the Renaissance and Colonial era, I’ve become a custom to listening different music genres of the time period. Many of the genres include Celtic, Gypsy, Greek, and many genres in between. The following instruments are what make these genres as independent as there sound relative to the normal sounds of Country, Classical, Rock and Jazz music. Here are a couple of helpful websites that will help you to define what the following instruments are and perhaps what they may sound like.
